Solomon Friday, Sr., 81, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Saturday, June 12, 2021. Solomon was born in Timmonsville, South Carolina  on July 27, 1939 son of the late Joseph Friday and Lizzela Cummings.

Solomon is survived by his loving sons Soloman Friday, Jr.  and his wife Latisha of Orlando, FL., and Jimmy Williams of Brooklyn, NY. His sisters Everlena Witherspoon and her husband Willie Joe of Timmonsville, SC, Marilyn James of Timmonsville, and Phyllis Nazzery of Halendon, NJ., a brother Clarence Durham of Halendon, NJ., and a special friend Angela Mitchell of Stamford, CT.  Along with a host of nieces and nephews. And a granddaughter Devin Cummings.

Besides his parents Solomon was predeceased by a grandson Ethan Cummins and brothers, Harvest Friday and Floyd Durham.

Family and friends may attend a visitation on Thursday, June 17, 2021 from 10:00AM to 12:00PM at the Bethany Church of Stamford, 2 Scofieldtown Road, Stamford, CT where a funeral service will be held following the visitation at 12 noon.  A burial will follow the service at Long Ridge Union Cemetery, Erskine Road, in Stamford.
