It is with great sadness that the family of Nancy A. Serricchio announces her passing on Saturday, June 12, 2021. Nancy, a beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother was 98 years old when she departed this world peacefully to join her beloved husband Michael Serricchio in heaven.
Born on June 4, 1923 in Stamford, she was the daughter of the late Luigi and Assunta Frattaroli. Nancy is survived by her three loving children, Marian Clark (Daniel) of Stamford, Thomas Serricchio (Mary Ann) of Norwalk and Michael Serricchio Jr. (Shawn) of Stamford. She is additionally survived by her adoring grandchildren Christa Bistolas, Tiffany Flynn, Maureen Serricchio and Michael Serricchio III; and her precious great-grandchildren Nicholas and Dylan Bistolas. Nancy, one of ten children, is predeceased by her beautiful sisters Yolanda Ienner, Ida Caporizo, Anna Mekachonus, Gloria Cerullo, Josephine Bemonte, Philomena Sileo and her brothers Michael, Louis, and Joseph Frattaroli.
A graduate of Stamford High School, Nancy devoted her life after schooling to her family. In addition to raising her three children, Nancy helped to raise her four grandchildren. A selfless and giving woman, she was always willing to help those in need and never took no for an answer when offering all she had to those who visited her. Nancy’s love for her family was endless and her desire to have them gather at her home for the amazing feasts she prepared every Sunday is a testament to that love. She will live on as the kind, caring, loving and devoted woman that she was in the hearts of all who knew her.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at 10:30 AM at Sacred Heart Church, 37 Schuyler Avenue, Stamford. Interment will follow in St. John Cemetery, 25 Camp Avenue, Darien, CT. Relatives and friends may call at the Thomas M.
