Insurance and real estate have been the focus of Ricks career. A vice president of sales for a Stamford-based insurance agency, Rick earned the CLU (Chartered Life Underwriter) designation, and managed the life and health insurance departments for the firm until the late 1970”s. Then, with a group of friends, he began a real estate agency and a whole new career that was to last more than four decades. Heritage Associates, Country Living, and Halstead Property were the firms he was proud to represent. A devoted husband, a loving father, grandfather and brother, Ricks calm, steady manner, sense of humor, and kindness endeared him to family and friends. His deep Christian faith was the bedrock of his life and his unfailing support in times of uncertainty. He had been a member of Zion Lutheran Church since birth, and at times had served as a Sunday school teacher, pastoral assistant, and member of the Church Council.
