Obituary of Andrej Harasiuk

Andrej Harasiuk, 87, of Stamford, CT, passed away peacefully on October 13, 2022.

Andrej was born in Lipiny Gorne, Poland on November 22, 1934. He is survived by his three children, Elizabeth Russell of Shelton, CT, John Harasiuk of New Canaan, CT and Anna Chejin of Stamford, CT.   His nine grandchildren, Nicole, Brittany and Jonathan Russell, Jacob and Olivia Harasiuk, Michael, Brandon, Tyler and Alina Chejin.   Five great-grandchildren, Nicolas and Mackenzie Reyes, Sophia and Elvis Cowell and Alexander Russell.  He is also survived by his caregiver Zofia Harasiuk.

Immediate family will gather at the Thomas M. Gallagher Funeral Home, 104 Myrtle Avenue, Stamford, on Saturday, October 22, 2022, from 8:30 – 9:30am.  A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 AM at Holy Name of Jesus Church, 325 Washington Blvd. Stamford and internment at St. John’s Cemetery, 25 Camp Ave. Darien. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Andrej Harasiuk to Alzheimer’s Association at act.alz.org.
