Imogene Dawkins, 82, passed away at home on July 1, 2022 surrounded by family and loved ones. She was born in St. Ann, Jamaica and migrated to Stamford, CT in 1990. Imogene was born on March 10, 1940 to parents Maybel Campbell and Rufus Lawrence. She was the eldest daughter of her nine siblings. She married Dextor Llyod Dawkins in 1960 and she remained a devoted wife for 61 years. Together they raised seven children: Dennis (predeceased), Morvin, Lewin, Marvia, Wayne, Avel, and Dorothea. All of her life, she was a devoted Christian, an advisor, a counselor, a true friend, and she will be missed by all. May her soul rest in eternal peace.
