We met through a friend & saw each other for about a year. He was living on W. 14th Street in Manhattan. He had stopped college for a while and then got accepted to Cornell. The last I heard from him was when he wrote to me after attending my dance concert. A wonderful, sweet somewhat innocent but totally open boyfriend and person. I am so sad to hear of this now.

My condolences to Phil's family and his husband Charles. I was shocked and sadden to learn of Phil's passing. I have fond memories of working with Phil, (and his dad) at Standard Brands when he was on school breaks. Phil was a lovely person and a joy to be with; may he be at peace.

Reading this brought me to tears. I had no idea Phil had been dealing with a serious illness. I’ve known Phil since 5th grade and was so excited to attend his bar mitzvah. I am so glad I was able to reconnect with him at our 40th high school reunion. My condolences to his husband, family, friends & colleagues.
The picture is from our high school reunion and includes all of us in attendance that were in elementary school together.
