Regina (Levenberg) Greenwald passed away on January 2nd. She is mourned by her daughters Meryl Gordon and Judi Greenwald, sons-in-law David Gordon and Michael Samuels, grandchildren Jonathan, Aliza, Daniel, Josh, and Ellie, grandchildren-in-law Jonathan, Ben, and Lea, great-grandchildren Ilan and Shira, sisters Connie Golden and Sheila Altman, nieces Diane and Pamela, and nephew Howard. She was predeceased by her husband Paul Greenwald in 1990, to whom she was married for nearly 37 years, and by her sister, Eunice Fisher.
She was born in London, England on November 17, 1928, to Alice and Isaac Levenberg. She attended art school in Luton, and then immigrated to America with her family in 1948. She lived in Brooklyn, Queens, and Long Island, NY, and Stamford, CT. She was a long-time member of Congregation Ohr Torah in North Woodmere, and Congregation Agudath Sholom in Stamford. Her artwork graces the walls of the homes of her children, grandchildren, and extended family.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at Congregation Agudath Sholom 301 Strawberry Hill Ave Stamford, CT. The Interment will follow at Beth David Cemetery Elmont NY. Arrangements are entrusted to Thomas M. Gallagher Funeral Home 104 Myrtle Ave, Stamford (203)-359-9999
