Miss Cummins was my 5th grade teacher at Toquam elementary school. She was one of my favorite teachers, caring, supportive, concerned. She put up with me and guided me through some difficult times I had at school. I will be forever grateful for her.

Mary was a special person and wonderful teacher. My daughters had the pleasure of having Mary as their teacher at Hart School. I had the pleasure of working with Mary at school. May she Rest In Peace and know that she was well loved and respected.

Miss Cummins loved children and the teaching profession more than anyone I ever met. She never forgot a student or their families. Nearly twenty years later, her holiday card was one of the first we received each year. Rest in peace Mary Cummins. You were truly one of a kind.
